We Love our Igloo!!

We finished our igloo last week!!  It is amazing.  Thank you for sending in all of your milk jugs for the past few weeks.  Another thank you goes to my trusty parent volunteers who glued and glued and glued to put this thing together.  We've been playing in our igloo and enjoying it for a while but it is WAY more fun now that its roof is complete.

Valentine's Day!

It was a very full week in our kindergarten classroom.  We have been laughing through one special occasion after another.  Here is our Valentine's Day party.

Passing out our valentines

Checking out our Valentine's Day loot

Candy Heart Stacking

Building structures with marshmallows and toothpicks

Valentine bracelets

Throw the pompom into the cup

Valentine's Day BINGO!

Errupting Snow!

With 100 Day and Valentine's Day, our week was pretty full.  Still, we figured - HEY!  Why not make some fizzing snow?!! The kids did all of the measuring and mixing.  Their reactions when we added the vinegar was my favourite part.

100 Day Super-Heroes

We celebrated our 100th day of school yesterday!!  Our day was action-packed and fit for a squad of superheroes.

We used our x-ray vision to find 100 Hershey Kisses that were hidden all over the room

We mixed up our Power-Up Hero snack

We competed in teams to build 100-cup superheroes fortresses

We flew around the school and took 100 giant superhero steps to see if we'd make it around and back to our classroom.  We stopped and checked our guesses several times but in the end, most of us were wrong and we didn't make it...

...but we were close

Next we did centres and ate our trail mix.

100 Day masks

100 bead necklaces with superhero badges

We stamped a 100 Day poster

We did a photo shoot to show off our capes

It was a SUPER day!!
